Liberal Democrat Leader visits Rivergreen Centre

Nick Clegg MP recently visited the Rivergreen Centre to meet with Durham Constabulary. He was accompanied by Shadow Secretary Chris Huhne and Carol Woods, Liberal Democrat Candidate for Durham City.

The purpose of the visit was to meet with youngsters from the Eddy (Engage Divert Develop Young People) Project, the project aims to engage with young people to prevent youth crime. Carol Woods said; ‘Durham Police has led the way with the Eddy Project in engaging with young people across County Durham. Many young people at risk of being drawn into crime have benefited from these projects’.
